With members from Costa Rica, Argentina, Italy & Portugal, there's plenty in the mix. Balkan, flamenco, gypsy & eastern rhythms combine in a vibrant, breathlessly energetic sound that is made for dancing.

County Sligo's finest export - and SaltaireLive's most popular band - Dervish are bursting with all that is good in Irish music. Fiddle, bouzouki, mandola, flute, bodhran & accordion, plus the entrancing Cathy Jordan, the finest frontwoman - and to many the most distinctive voice - in Irish music today.

Together Dervish have travelled the globe, setting the standard for authentic Irish music since the 1990's. The 6 piece line-up is full of instrumental firepower, capturing all the complexities, subtlety and fire of Irish music at its very best.

Dervish have never given us anything short of an exceptional night in their numerous appearances in Saltaire and we have no reason to expect anything less this February.
